Testing methods in clinical laboratory for Ebola virus

Abstract:

Outbreaks of infection by Ebola virus (EBOV) occurred in West Africa caused the hemorrhagic diseases with high lethality in 2014. Till now, there is not any specific vaccine or treatment for this disease; early and rapid diagnosis of EBOV infection can significantly reduce the mortality. Therefore, establishment of rapid methods for detecting EBOV infection in clinical laboratories is very important in those countries with or without epidemic situation. Here we reviewed the recent progress of testing methods in clinical laboratory for Ebola virus infection.
