Detection methods and clinical applications of circulating tumor cells in breast cancer

Abstract:

Early metastasis of breast cancer and recurrence is proved to be the greatest threat to the patients. The detection of circulating breast tumor cells in blood is an important evidence of tumor micrometastasis. Current detection methods of circulating tumor cells including antibody based technique, nucleic acid based technique and the joint detection methods. All of them have their advantages and limitations.
