Abstract:

Objective

Serum pharmacology was used to evaluate the bacteriostatic effect of Qiaoqinqingfei on Klebsiella pneumoniae and Staphylococcus aureus in vitro.

Methods

Rabbits were given with Qiaoqinqingfei by gavage. Blood samples were taken at 0.5 h, 1 h, 2 h, 3 h on the first day and at 2 d, 3 d, 4 d, 5 d, 6 d, 7 d, 8 d, 9 d and 10 d for 10 consecutive days, respectively. Serum containing drugs were prepared, and the antibacterial effect of Qiaoqinqingfei on Staphylococcus aureus ATCC25923 and Klebsiella pneumoniae ATCC700603 was observed by CCK-8 method.

Results

The bacteriostatic rate of Qiaoqinqingfei against Staphylococcus aureus was 97.86±0.60 at 10 day, the effective bacteriostatic rate of 7 cases>50, which was statistically significant (P<0.05). The bacteriostatic rate of Klebsiella pneumoniae was 39.29±6.50, and the effective bacteriostatic rate of 2 cases>50 at 10 day, which was not statistically significant.

Conclusion

The antibacterial effect of Qiaoqinqingfei on Staphylococcus aureus was better than that of Klebsiella pneumonia.
