Establishment and practice of a teaching quality evaluation system for the practice training base of China Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance System

Abstract:

Objective

To scientifically, reasonably, comprehensively, objectively, and effectively evaluate the teaching effect of the practice training base for China Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance System(CARSS), an evaluation system was constructed to provide a basis for continuous improvement of teaching quality.

Methods

This study revolved around the principle of "one core, two stages, three subjects, and multiple dimensions". By determining the objectives, content, and proportion of various indicators for teaching effectiveness evaluation of CARSS practical training bases, a short-term and a long-term evaluation index systems for teaching effect of CARSS practical training bases were constructed, and the implementation and feedback methods of the teaching effectiveness evaluation system were determined.

Results

This evaluation system takes assessing student ability as the main body, short-term evaluation is based on theoretical knowledge and practical operation mastery as evaluation standards; long-term improvement in data quality and visualization of training results as evaluation standards and corresponding indicators. The evaluation system is designed to be reasonable, objective, and highly operable, with good promotion. The 13 CARSS practical training bases have demonstrated high-quality teaching outcomes in terms of teaching management, teaching conditions, teaching effectiveness, and feedback on characteristic innovation. At the same time, this system can objectively reflect the teaching quality of the base and serve as a research support for forward-looking teaching quality evaluation.

Conclusion

This evaluation system can scientifically, reasonably, comprehensively, and objectively evaluate and feedback the teaching quality of each training base, providing a basis for continuous improvement of teaching quality and further building a high-quality CARSS practical training teaching platform.
