Abstract:

Androgenetic alopecia is the most common form of hair loss that affects both men and women. Although there are already available treatment methods, people are still looking for more effective treatments. As a new type of platelet products. Concentration growth factor (CGF) has been successfully used in many fields such as orthopedics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthopedics, dermatology, etc. CGF enhances angiogenesis, extracellular matrix remodeling, and promotes cell proliferation and differentiation. CGF contains various high concentration growth factor and CD34+ cell group. The main component of CGF includes platelet derived growth factor (PDGF), transforming growth factor (TGF), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), epidermal growth factor (EGF), insulin-like growth factor (IGF) and hepatocyte growth factor (HGF). They can effectively stimulate the hair follicle cell growth, improve blood supply and scalp micro environment. Thus it may act as a means for treating hair loss. However, this potential role has been rarely reported. The purpose of this paper is to introduce the effective mechanism of CGF and its role in promoting hair growth, provide a new method for the treatment of alopecia.
