Investigation on discipline construction of laboratory medicine

Abstract:

Discipline construction is the foundation of sustainable development of a hospital. Clinical laboratory is developing rapidly with the increase of the test items, department scales, highly educated staffs, and new technologies and equipments. Laboratory medicine has become to be a concerned focus in hospital discipline construction. The content of discipline construction can be summarized into three aspects: the construction of talent echelon, the construction of discipline environment and innovation/development. The discipline construction of laboratory medicine is not accomplished immediately. We firstly analyze the current situation, make a correct discipline orientation, and then apply the advanced management methods and establish a scientific management system which was combined with other advanced management systems and its own characteristics of the department, to explore a distinctive road for the discipline construction of laboratory medicine.
