Research advance of microRNA in HIV-1 infection and related diseases

Abstract:

MicroRNA (miRNA) is an important post-transcriptional gene expression regulator, and its expression profile changes are related to many human pathology. The correlation between miRNA and human immunodeficiency virus 1 (HIV-1) has become one of the hot spots in global research. In this paper, the effects of miRNA on the transcription replication and latent infection of HIV-1 virus, the study of miRNA in HIV-1 related diseases and the therapeutic prospects of AIDS are reviewed.
