Abstract:

Objective

To monitor the antimicrobial resistance of Klebsiella pneumonia isolated from different specimens and different ward areas in the hosiptal as to provide theoretical basis for the rational use of antimicrobial agents in clinic.

Methods

The antimicrobial resistance of Klebsiella pneumonia strains isolated during January 1, 2016 and December 31 were analyzed by WHONET 5.6 software. These Klebsiella pneumonia strains were isolated from different specimens: 445 from sputum, 181 from urine and 58 from blood) and different wards (143 form Pediatric ward, 74 from ICU ward and 71 from Neurosurgery ward).

Results

The resistant rates of Klebsiella pneumoniae isolated from blood, sputum and urine samples to imipenem were 5.17%, 6.07% and 7.63% respectively. The resistant rates of Klebsiella pneumoniae isolated from ICU ward, Neurosurgery ward and Pediatric ward to imipenem were 14.86%, 8.48% and 8.39% respectively.

Conclusion

The resistant rates of Klebsiella pneumoniae isolated from different specimens and different ward areas were quite different. Clinicians should understand the drug resistance of Klebsiella pneumonia isolated from different sources in time as to improve the accuracy of clinician experience medication.

Key words: Different wards, Different specimens, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Drug resistance rate
