Abstract:

Objective

To analyze and evaluate the application value of cyclic enhanced immunofluorescent assay (CEIFA) and chemiluminescent immunoassay (CLIA) in detection of plasma B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP).

Methods

The plasma BNP levels were measured by CEIFA and CLIA in 50 patients with cardiology. The correlation, recovery rate, precision and sample stability of the results were evaluated.

Results

Compared with CLIA, the regression equation of CEIFA was Y=0.975X+ 2.910 (r=0.987, P<0.01). The results of high and median samples were more stable. The recovery rate of CEIFA was 94.49%~100.53%, the intra-batch and inter-batch coefficient of variation (CV) were 2.85%~6.66% and 6.21%~12.52%. The stability of high value or median value samples was higher than that detected by CLIA.

Conclusion

CEIFA for plasma BNP detection has a good performance, and has some advantages compared with CLIA, which can meet the needs of clinical laboratories.

Key words: Cyclic enhanced immunofluorescent assay, Chemiluminescent immunoassay, B-type natriuretic peptide
