Abstract:

Objective

To establish learning maps suitable for clinical biochemistry in the laboratory as a basis training system.

Methods

According to the developing a curriculum (DACUM) work analysis method, taking clinical biochemistry laboratory of Guangzhou Kingmed Center for Clinical Laboratory as an example, the study map was finally established by defining the work responsibilities, analyzing the work tasks, the task steps, the knowledge, skills and attitudes, formulating the learning objectives and transforming the curriculum list.

Results

Finally, a learning map defined by 9 duties and 84 tasks and with 34 learning subjects and process was constructed within 1 month.

Conclusions

The establishment of a clinical biochemical learning map, provides a strong support for disciplines to construct a training system and cultivate skilled personnel capable of producing first-line competencies.
