Introduction to the clinical practice guideline for the management of candidiasis: 2016 update by the Infectious Diseases Society of America

Abstract

Abstract:

The Infectious Diseases Society of America(IDSA) on February 15, 2016, published the updated Clinical Practice Guideline for the Management of Candidiasis. The new guideline have many changes, put 17 questions and give us 140 recommendations. This paper here will introduce some new update guidelines including the key diagnosis issue, treatment for candidemia in nonneutropenic patients, empric treatment for suspected infection in patients in the Intensive Care Unit, isolates from respiratory tract, urinary tract infection etc.
