Abstract:
Objective To explore the application method and value of patient data moving averaging method in internal quality control of neonatal genetic metabolic diseases screening by tandem mass spectrometry.
Methods The neonatal genetic metabolic disease screening data were collected by tandem mass spectrometry. The internal quality control of tandem mass spectrometry testing items was monitored by using conventional commercial quality control products combined with patient data moving averaging method, and its effect was evaluated.
Results According to the rule of the patient data moving averaging method, it was found the factors that caused the failure of 20161027 batches of experiments were the pre-analysis factors, i.e. inappropriate sample preservation leading to degradation and the quality problems of the commercial quality control products used in the 20170620 batches of experiments.
Conclusions The patient data moving averaging method can effectively help laboratory management of internal quality control. It is the main quality control method without quality control indicators in tandem mass spectrometry detection, and is a useful supplement to the traditional quality control methods.
