Abstract:
Objective To evaluate the application value of patient data in internal quality control (IQC) of newborn screening (NBS).
Methods From March 2019 to December 2019, blood samples of 16 731 newborns from Zhenjiang newborn disease screening center were collected to detect the concentration of thyroid stimulating hormon (TSH) and phenylalanine (Phe). To calculate the patients' index, including data , SD value and CV value, SD value and CV value, each batch of the patient data and the value of commodity quality control product synchronously, and to draw the levey-jennings quality control chart, take ±2SD as the warning limit and ±3SD as the control limit, compare the quality control indicators, and analyze the reasons for their abnormal indications.
Results Among the 42 batches of TSH data, 8 batches exceeded the control limit of ±2SD, indicating "warning". Among them, 6 batches were abnormal in routine quality control, 2 batches were abnormal in the mean value of patient data, and only 1 batch was abnormal at the same time. Analysis of the reasons for the correction according to the abnormal prompt.
Conclusions Quality control method was established in accordance with the patient data, so as to analysis and adopt the quality control on TSH and Phe. The quality control of patient data by moving average method is an optimization supplement to the conventional internal quality control.
