Abstract:

Objective

To explore the role of autonomous navigation logistics robot in shortening the turnaround time from blood collection to reception.

Methods

The outpatient artificial blood collection mode was adopted from January to May 2019, and the autonomous navigation logistics robot blood collection mode was adopted from June to October 2019. Using the statistical function of the laboratory information system (LIS), the median and 90% quantile of the two blood collection modes were collected and analyzed.

Results

After the blood collection mode of autonomous navigation logistics robot was started for biochemical samples, the mean time of monthly turnaround time decreased from (30.2±3.3) min to (14±2.0) min and the 90% quantile of turnaround time decreased from (93.8±2.6) min to (33.2±2.2) min. The mean time of monthly turnaround time decreased from (49.8±2.6) min to (21.6±2.3) min and the 90% quantile of turnaround time decreased from (94.8±2.3) min to (44.4±2.3) for immune routine samples. The mean time of monthly turnaround time decreased from (36.8±3.9) min to (16.4±1.7) min, and the 90% quantile of turnaround time decreased from (96.8±4.3) min to (38.8±6.3) min for luminescence routine samples. There were significant differences between the above two groups (all P<0.05).

Conclusions

Autonomous navigation logistics robot can significantly shorten the turnaround time from blood collection to reception of biochemical, immune and luminous samples from blood collection to reception, which lays a foundation for our hospital to quickly issue biochemical, immune and luminous project reports, and greatly improves the service quality.
