The application value of the four quality indicators in the sample management of inpatients prior to clinical laboratory analyse with psychosis[J]. Chinese Journal of Clinical Laboratory Management(Electronic Edition), 2019, 07(04): 238-241.
To explore the real-time monitoring and managing specimens from mental patients in our hospital by using four quality indicators (agglutination rate of anticoagulant specimens, error rate of specimen containers, error rate of specimen collection, and error rate of specimen types) related to the test specimens to improve the quality of pre-analytical specimens.
The laboratory information management system (LIS) was used to make a retrospective statistics of the four quality indicators of psychiatric patients in our hospital in 2017. Communication and training were carried out for the existing problems, and four quality indicators in 2018 were observed to evaluate the rectification.
There were statistical differences between the four quality indicators in 2017 and 2018 except for the error rate of the specimen containers (P>0.05), and the other three quality indicators were statistically different (P<0.05). Among the ward distribution of unqualified specimens, the highest agglutination rate of anticoagulant specimens was 1.024% for psychiatric women and children; the highest error rate of specimen container was 0.050% for psychiatric geriatric wards; the highest error rate of specimen collection and specimen type was 0.078% and 0.068% in the psychosomatic wards, respectively.
Using four quality indicators related to the test specimens to real-time monitor and manage the specimens from in patients with psychiatric, finding out problems through statistical analysis, and carrying out targeted communication training can effectively improve the quality of pre-analytical specimens.
